We are seeking a boilermaker highly competent in all facets of structural welding and testing for a permanent Welding Supervisor role in the L. Hunter

About the Company
Our client is a leader in Hunter Valley structural fabrication projects. They operate an established workshop in Kurri servicing some of the largest infrastructure and mining projects on the East Coast. 

The Role
We are pleased to offer an opportunity to join the workshop management team as a Welding Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure welding quality is to structural standards and in accordance with project requirements. This role is a permanent day shift role however most of the welding occurs on the afternoon shift so you will be insoecting the previous nights work then completing relevant paperwork and then providing feedback to the incoming afternoon shift supervisor on a daily basis. You will work closely with the QA/OHS Manager the Workshop Manager and the Afternoon Shift Supervisor and report directly to the General Manager.

Skills and Experience
To be successful you will need:
  • Comprehensive experience on heavy structural fabrication projects;
  • Understanding of weld test procedures;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good organisational skills and strong motivation to succeed.
Candidates who have experience in a similar role working on large heavy fabrication projects will be highly regarded.

  • Start on big casual rates, all going well will move to permeant wage role in 3-6 months;
