Our client is a leader in electrical engineering services across Australia. They operate an established workshop in the Lower Hunter Valley servicing the largest mining and industrial clients in the area.

Key products include portable underground control rooms and conveyor electrical systems for the mining sector and a range of automated electrical systems for the power sector. This company provides new, well organised workshop facilities mine site project work and competitive pay rates.The Role
We are pleased to offer an opportunity for an electrical trade assistant with stick welding experience to join our client’s project team. The focus of this role will be assisting tradesmen commissioning a control room on an upper hunter mine site. This role will include manual labour, site clean up, stick welding and other general TA duties. Our client will provide mine site inductions and training to the successful candidate as required.

Skills and Experience
To be successful you will need:

  • Electrical TA and stick welding experience;
  • Drivers licence, OHS white card and the ability to pass a full medical including drug and alcohol screening.
Candidates who also have current Ravensworth – XStrata and Damstra inductions, MDG25 training, Low Voltage Rescue and/or CPR certification will be highly regarded.
