Two CNC Machinists for Permanent Roles in Newcastle Workshop

Our client is a leader in hydraulic engineering services across Australia. They operate an established workshop in the Lower Hunter Valley servicing the largest mining and industrial clients in the area.

The Roles
We are pleased to offer two opportunities to join the workshop as members of their CNC machining team. The primary responsibilities of these roles will be operation and quality control of Fanuc controlled CNC mills and lathes. Work will initially be on day shift casual trial however following your probation and movement into a the permanent role there may be opportunities to move to afternoon shift. You will be supported by senior CNC machinists/programmers and report directly to the workshop supervisor.
Skills and Experience
To be successful you will need:
  • A relevant trade certificate;
  • Demonstrated competency operating Fanuc control CNCs;
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of digital micrometers;
  • A stable work history.
Candidates who bring additional qualifications such as fork lift or current first aid will be highly regarded.
