CNC Programmer/Machinists for Permanent Roles in Newcastle Workshop

Our client is a leader in hydraulic engineering services across Australia. They operate an established workshop in the Lower Hunter Valley servicing the largest mining and industrial clients in the area.
We are pleased to offer two opportunities to join the workshop as members of their CNC machining team. The primary responsibilities of these roles will be programming and operation of Fanuc controlled CNC mills and lathes. Must be competent with ISO, Fanuc or GibbsCAM software. Work will initially be day shift Casual however following your probation and movement into a permanent role there may be opportunities to move to afternoon shift. You will be supported by senior CNC machinists/programmers and report directly to the workshop supervisor.
Skills and Experience
To be successful you will need:
  • A relevant trade certificate;
  • Demonstrated competency programming & operating Fanuc control CNCs;
  • Demonstrated competency in the use of digital micrometers;
  • A stable work history.
Candidates who bring additional qualifications such as fork lift or current first aid will be highly regarded. Candidates MUST be willing and able to travel to Newcastle for interviews and machine tests and MUST be willing and able to relocate to Newcastle for the job.
