Maxwell Recruitment, was formed in 2010 with a vision of providing a superior labour hire and recruitment services through smart systems, specialisation and a commitment to outstanding customer service. We now have a portfolio of over 50 clients in heavy industry including blue chip mining, construction and manufacturing companies.

Due to our current employee taking extended leave we require an experienced Payroll & Accounts Administrator to work from our Warabrook office starting mid June and finishing early in October.

The hours will be flexible, although ideally we see this as 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.

The three key components of the role are:

  • Payroll of typically 60 – 80 workers numerous employment agreements via manual timesheets
  • Invoicing & Accounts Receivable
  • Bookkeeping all the way from accounts reconciliations to BAS preparation (not submission)

Additionally to this we are investigating advanced online timesheet systems and someone with skills and experience in this may be able to do additional work for us in this regard – but this is not essential.

We have run Xero since 2010 and ideally the successful person will be a Xero guru.

The role will report directly to the Managing Director including submission of weekly compliance reports.

To be considered for the position it is essential that you have the following:

  • A minimum of 3 years payroll and accounts receivable and bookkeeping experience within a fast paced environment ideally experienced using Xero
  • Extremely accurate and trustworthy
  • Understanding of employment legislation and framework (i.e. tax, super & modern awards)

An above market hourly rate will be provided to the successful candidate in line with their experience and capabilities.
